Summer is over....Bummer

Hi Everyone! I know that over the summer I took a long break and have not blogged in a very long time. I am alive and wanted to let you all know what has been happening.

First... Emma is the light of my world. I am so sad to have returned to work and be away from her all day long. I know that she is in great hands with Robert, but she has become a HUGE daddy's girl since I've been away. I miss our long mornings and snuggle times, but look forward to three o'clock when I get to see her shinning face smile back at me!

Secondly... we have had a busy summer! We recently went on a trip to Portland and Seattle where we hit a major heat wave and had weather in the mid 90s everyday! We explored and Robert drank at almost every brewery we could find! We had a great time! Why am I not drinking?

Well... surprise, surprise, Robert did it again and I am expecting our second little person in February! It was a huge shock to all of us and although I am excited, I am very nervous about having two so close together. We will find out what we are having by the end of September, so keep praying for Robert's sake that he gets his boy!

Lastly... Emma is turning ONE this Sunday and I will defiantly post pics of her birthday party for all to see! We are having a Princess party for our Princess! We are so amazed how time has flown and cannot wait for Emma to start taking her first steps. She is so close to walking, but hasn't gotten it just yet... although she really wants to!

We are so thankful and blessed to share our summer news with you all and hope that we hear back about how things are going with you. I'll post some pics of Emma and the family later, but wanted to keep everyone in the loop! I'll write again after I crash from Emma's party!

My toes in the water, toes in the sand!

We finnaly had a day without rain and nice sunny weather to go down to the beach and let Emma experience this great place we live and put her toes in the sand. She had a great time hanging out with Nick and Mel and her Poo Pa (grandpa). She wanted to eat more sand than anything but we have some great pics of this memorable experience! We loved it and hope you do too!

Emma's first food!

We began this a couple weeks ago but thought that I might share Emma's first meal with you, sweet potatoes. She really took to eating well and now cannot get enough! She is our happy little eater that grows a little more each day, but still on the shorter side. At 14 lbs 2 oz. she is our little bean. We do not think that Emma will ever be a giant, and we like that she is short and sweet. The best things DO come in small packages. Enjoy her first meal, she did!

PS. Fed with a silver spoon of course!

Funny videos of Emma

I thought that I would include some great videos of Emma laughing, snoring, talking, and rolling over! Enjoy!

To Grandma's house we go!

Here we go to Grandma's house
To Grandma's house
To Grandma's house
Here we go to Grandma's house
All day long!

This was a silly little song my sisters and I sang going to Grandma's house when we were little and one I'm sure Emma will sing one day too!

A very long trip down and back with Papa to spend mom's birthday. We had a great time visiting with Aunt Lisa, Uncle Mark, Jacob, and Amy.

Then best of all...we had the chance for the cousins to meet for the first time! What a fun time they had looking at each other and hanging out. We had a great time and cannot wait to play with Rebecca and Zachary again soon!

Happy Birthday Mr.

What could be better than a one-year-old birthday party?

Only if the birthday boy is your future boyfriend! Emma celebrated with Angelo for his big day.

There was a bbq, cake, and cupcakes that were smashed to pieces by the man of the hour!
We had a great time hanging out with our friends and celebrating Mr's big day!

Our trip to SLO

What a long trip down to SLO but an even longer one on the way back
as we were stuck in traffic for over an hour
and finally had to pull over and feed Emma!
Besides the long drive with the two of us,
we had such an amazing time visiting with Kristin and Beau and of course the cousins!
We started with Beau's installation service which was amazing and funny at the same time. Congrats Beau!

We had a great time visiting with the cousins as Eden kept saying how pretty Emma is.Isn't that what every mom wants to hear!

Eden and Asher were great with Emma and we look forward to many more visits...
hopefully Emma wot get stepped on...again!
As for Auntie Kristin, she had s hard time staying awake when
Emma was fast asleep in her arms. It reminds me of my naps with Eden after
she was born. Kristin was great and Beau took on the biggest challenge of all...
to watch Emma for an hour with a dirty diaper and
not a very happy camper!
Thanks Beau...hopefully the beer made up for it!
Mom and Papa were there too and it was great
to have Emma spit up all over Grandma to the point
where she had to change shoes...sorry mom!
It's always a blast to see Papa and he was such a big help
carrying Emma's car seat which gets a little heavier each day.
We had lots of fun and cannot wait to see them again soon.
We had such a great time and look forward to seeing
them all soon for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the hospitality sis!
